The Establishment of International Society on Tropical Energy
The International Society on Tropical Energy
Founded on 5 July 2019, the International Society on Tropical Energy is a non-profit scientific society, which promotes and disseminates research and educational activities in all areas of conventional and renewable energies particularly of the interest of communities around the tropical region.
The International Society on Tropical Energy is affiliated with the Symposium on Energy Systems (SES), an annual event for which majority of the founding members are regular contributors. Although still in its infancy stage, the International Society on Tropical Energy has been leveraging on the success of SES in establishing the bonds among its members. Presently, the members hail from Malaysia, Pakistan, India, Oman, Ethiopia, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
The International Society on Tropical Energy is aiming at fostering a wide range of scientific activities, including summer schools, lecture series, and joint research. The society looks forward into establishing and maintaining sustainable relations with other scientific societies.
